Stora Enso (PI Dr. Mikael Hannus) will contribute in the project with both industrial know-how for the process development as well as fabrication information for potential up-scaling of the same process. Additionally, the in-house research, development and innovation capabilities of P6 will be used for determining the chemical consumptions, possible valorization of dissolved substances in the delignification step. Further, the vast knowledge base of the Wood Products division, when it comes to modified wood applications and market demands will play an important role in understanding the addressable potential in the selected areas for the demonstrators and potential adjacent cases. When needed, additional competences from P6 can also be engaged to contribute to solving specific challenges or questions around the material and process.
